A leading automotive manufacturer in Bolton is looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier performance, quality improvement and new product introduction activities across a global supply chain.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional with strong supplier-facing experience and knowledge of automotive quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support supplier APQP activities and PPAP approvals.
• Conduct supplier audits and supplier development activities.
• Lead supplier corrective actions using 8D and root cause methodologies.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and drive quality improvements.
• Support new product introduction and supplier change management projects.
• Act as the key quality interface between suppliers and the manufacturing site.

Requirements

• Experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer, Supplier Development or Quality Engineer role.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and Control Plans.
• Supplier auditing and supplier development experience.
• Manufacturing background, ideally automotive, electronics or high-volume assembly.
• HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification preferred.
