Supplier Quality Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and support daily quality assurance activities to ensure products meet company and customer quality requirements.
• Prepare, maintain and follow up on quality reports including 8D reports, IQC reports, MRB reports and corrective action reports.
• Investigate manufacturing quality issues and work closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Supply Chain and suppliers on rejected parts, supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
• Ensure timely closure of quality issues, non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct supplier audits and support supplier quality improvement activities when required.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and maintain inspection and test reports.
• Maintain Quality Management System documentation and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Support internal, external and customer audits including ISO-related audits.
• Prepare quality performance reports for management review.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance / quality engineering, preferably within semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.

• Experience with electronics products such as PCBA, box-build assembly or related manufacturing processes will be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of quality tools including:

  • 8D Problem Solving
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • Non-Conformance Management

• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and quality documentation.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.

• Familiarity with supplier quality management and vendor corrective actions.

• Knowledge of UL508A, SEMI F47 or SEMI S2 will be an added advantage.

• QAD ERP experience will be advantageous.

• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
