Supplier Selection Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a Supplier Selection Lead to join a leading medical device manufacturing organization in Audubon, PA . The Supplier Selection Lead will drive supplier identification, qualification, and selection efforts for critical manufacturing programs. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, evaluating supplier capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable production and sourcing solutions.

Responsibilities of the Supplier Selection Lead:

• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine manufacturing and sourcing requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on technical capability, capacity, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to support supplier sourcing initiatives and project timelines.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to analyze requirements, track supplier performance, and support planning activities.
• Communicate directly with suppliers to assess production capabilities, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Lead supplier engagement efforts for new products and existing programs while supporting strategic sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications of the Supplier Selection Lead:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, planning, manufacturing engineering, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
• Medical device, healthcare manufacturing, purchasing, or planning experience is preferred.

Compensation for the Supplier Selection Lead includes:

• Salary range: $85,000 - $90,000
