About Yo-Chi

Chi is at the heart of everything we do. Yo-Chi has grown from a local idea into a movement, inspiring creativity, welcoming all ages, and spreading good energy through frozen yogurt. Originating in Australia, Yo-Chi has grown to over 65 venues in Australia where it is run and operated as a family-owned business. The brand is now going international. The owners of Yo-Chi have teamed up with Nick & Soraya, the owners of Boost SEA and we are excited to bring this amazing Australian brand to Malaysia!

Yo-Chi puts our team and our guests at the heart of everything we do. Creating positive experiences, supporting each other, and making our venues a place where everyone feels welcome.

We are looking for a hands-on, independent and resourceful Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to support the growth of Yo-Chi Malaysia.

This person will be the key on-the-ground supply chain and procurement contact in Malaysia, working closely with the Yo-Chi South East Asia HQ team and managing day-to-day coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PL providers, regulatory agents and other external partners.

The role covers the end-to-end supply chain process, including sourcing, purchasing, shipment and import coordination, FDA/regulatory liaison, 3PL and inventory management, supplier management and COGS optimisation.

The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, take ownership, solve problems quickly and get things done, while also helping to establish and continuously improve supply chain processes as Yo-Chi expands in Malaysia.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day end-to-end supply chain activities for Yo-Chi Malaysia.
  • Work closely with the SEA HQ Supply Chain team to implement policies, processes and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels, inventory requirements and replenishment to ensure sufficient supply for all stores.
  • Manage ordering, stock movement and delivery planning with suppliers and the 3PL warehouse.
  • Monitor stock accuracy and participate in stock counts at stores, suppliers and 3PL warehouses.
  • Identify supply chain issues and proactively provide practical solutions.

2. Shipping, Import & Regulatory

  • Coordinate all inbound shipments including shipping schedules, commercial documents, packing lists and customs requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PL and relevant agents to ensure shipments are cleared and delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and other applicable import requirements, ensuring applications, documents and follow-ups are completed accurately and on time.
  • Proactively track shipments and resolve any shipping, customs or regulatory issues that may impact store operations or opening timelines.
  • Work closely with HQ and suppliers to ensure all required shipping and regulatory documentation is complete and accurate.

3. Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for all products required for store operations, including food ingredients, toppings, packaging, cleaning supplies, equipment, hardware, marketing materials and other operational supplies.
  • Obtain and benchmark quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and recommend suppliers for approval.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify alternative/local suppliers where appropriate.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier lead times, payment terms and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain accurate master supplier and pricing lists.

4. COGS & Cost Optimisation

  • Monitor product and supplier pricing and identify opportunities to reduce landed costs and improve margins.
  • Regularly benchmark market and supplier prices and negotiate better commercial terms.
  • Identify alternative suppliers/products where there are opportunities for better pricing, quality or supply reliability.
  • Work closely with HQ to review and optimise COGS following store opening.

5. 3PL & Distribution

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship and performance of the 3PL warehouse and delivery providers.
  • Monitor inbound receiving, stock accuracy, storage, picking and deliveries to stores.
  • Track 3PL service levels, delivery performance and discrepancies, and drive corrective actions where required.
  • Plan and coordinate deliveries to all stores.

6. New Store Openings & Expansion

  • Lead the supply chain and procurement workstream for new store openings.
  • Coordinate purchasing, supplier production, shipments, customs clearance, 3PL receiving and delivery to ensure all required items are available before opening.
  • Support the setup of supply chain processes as Yo-Chi expands into new locations.

7. Process Improvement

  • Establish and continuously improve supply chain and procurement processes for Malaysia.
  • Develop practical systems, trackers and processes to improve visibility, efficiency, cost control and accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, purchasing, inventory, shipping and distribution.

8. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key day-to-day supply chain contact for HQ and external stakeholders.
  • Build effective working relationships with suppliers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, regulatory agents and other service providers.
  • Provide regular updates to HQ on sourcing, orders, shipments, inventory, costs and any issues requiring attention.
  • Take ownership of issues and follow through until resolution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in procurement, buying and/or supply chain, preferably within F&B, retail or a fast-paced consumer business.
