About the Role

As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you'll play a key role in keeping materials, stock, and deliveries flowing smoothly across the business. Working closely with our Finance & Supply Manager and our production, logistics, sales, and finance & supply team, you'll help ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support customer orders and production schedules. This is a varied role that combines supply planning, inventory management, supplier coordination, and systems administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, and working across multiple parts of a business. This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week spread across 5 days.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating the purchase and delivery of raw materials, consumables, services, and other business supplies
  • Supporting demand and supply planning to ensure materials are available when needed
  • Monitoring inventory levels and helping maintain accurate stock records across the business
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies and supply chain issues
  • Coordinating inbound deliveries and working with suppliers to ensure on-time supply
  • Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers, building strong relationships and resolving day-to-day issues
  • Maintaining accurate information in ERP and inventory systems
  • Preparing reports on inventory, supplier performance, and supply chain risks
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and supply chain performance
  • Supporting the wider business with supply-related administration and coordination activities as required

What you'll bring

  • Experience in a supply chain, logistics, purchasing, inventory, or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate systems and data
  • Confidence working with ERP, inventory management, or business systems
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to resolve issues proactively
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude and willingness to support where needed
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment would be advantageous
  • Exposure to demand planning, forecasting, or process improvement would be beneficial

Why join Real Steel?

  • Be part of the founding team at a brand-new factory
  • Modern machinery and a purpose-built production environment
  • A company that invests in its people and long-term careers
  • Real opportunities to grow as the site expands
  • A supportive team culture within a family-owned New Zealand business
