What they need
Small details drive good quotes. We need someone who catches them.
As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you will report to the Operations Manager. You will turn customer requests into accurate quotes we can win. You'll learn our fastener products and our import and domestic vendors, and work closely with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing.
What You'll Do
- Build accurate quotes: take quote sheets from Sales and determine the full cost of goods, including freight, secondary operations, and every other step in the quoting process.
- Learn our products and vendors: become our in-house expert on our fastener products and our import and domestic suppliers.
- Work closely with Sales: check prints, specifications and customer requirements with the sales team so every quote is right the first time.
- Review vendors: research new vendors and review approved ones on product quality, delivery times and pricing.
- Know the numbers: learn our internal computer system and how it ties to inventory and cost.
- Work with leadership: work with the V.P. of Operations and the Import Purchaser on sourcing decisions.
- Keep quote records: maintain completed quote sheets, and scan and save them to our cloud database.
- Grow with the role: take on new duties as you build your skills.
What You Bring
- Close attention to detail: you're careful and accurate, and you catch errors before they reach a customer
- Strong math skills: you're comfortable with costs, margins, conversions and pricing calculations
- Office, sourcing, and/or purchasing experience
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills
- A fast learner who can pick up technical product details and new systems
- Organized and reliable, with good time management
- Flexible: you adjust easily when priorities change
- Education: high school diploma and 2 years of college or experience
Nice to have:
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Experience in supply chain management
Good with people and confident on the phone
ISO 9001 experience
