Supply Chain Executive

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Supply Chain Executive with 04 to 08 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. The candidate should have strong technical, commercial, analytical, negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of quality materials at competitive costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge and experience in procuring machined components, fabricated components, and sub-contract components.
• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, purchase orders, and supplier follow-up, to ensure the timely availability of materials.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery, warranty, tooling, freight, MOQ, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Read drawings, BOMs, specifications, material grades, and tolerances, and understand manufacturing processes.
• Develop, evaluate, monitor, and improve suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
• Analyse quotations, cost breakdowns, supplier performance, material cost, conversion cost, overhead, margin, and market price to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Identify alternate suppliers, alternate makes, and alternate manufacturing processes to reduce supply risks.
• Understand inspection requirements, rejection, NCR, root cause, and corrective action to ensure supplier quality.
• Closely monitor supplier schedules and prevent delays to machine/project completion by resolving shortage, quality, price, and delivery problems.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with Engineering, QA, Production, Finance, and suppliers.
• Understand and manage PO terms, payment terms, taxes, freight, warranty, LD, insurance, and contracts.
• Identify single-source, capacity, financial, quality, and logistics risks and support appropriate risk management actions.
• Maintain procurement data and prepare supplier performance, cost comparison, savings, and supplier analysis reports using SAP/ERP purchasing transactions and MS Excel.

Required Skills

• 04 to 08 years of experience in procurement and preferably in Manufacturing Industry, Industrial Automation, Capital Equipment, or relevant industries
• B.E. or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP purchasing transactions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to manage procurement and supplier-related issues effectively.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, cost comparison, dashboards, and data analysis.
• Strong communication and inter-department coordination skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Kanchipuram.
