What they need

| Reports To| Chief Executive Officer |

| Direct Reports | Inventory Incharge, Logistics Incharge, Customer Services Representative |

| Coordinates With | Plant Manager, Production Incharge, Quality Incharge,Finance Manager, Recovery Manager |

| Type | Full-time, permanent — 3-month probation |

Purpose: Own the entire chain from supplier to customer doorstep — procurement, stock, dispatch, and order service — as a single accountable function. This is a command role, not a coordination role.

Procurement (handled personally)

  • Procure all preforms, caps, labels, shrink film, cartons, jars, glass bottles, chemicals, consumables, and spares.

  • Maintain minimum three approved vendors for every A-category material; justify single sourcing in writing.

  • Negotiate rate agreements; benchmark against market quarterly with a written variance note.

  • Raise purchase orders only against approved requisitions and within delegated authority.

  • Route all incoming material through Quality before it is taken on charge.

  • Maintain the Approved Vendor List with NTN, STRN, bank details, rates, terms, certifications.

  • Conduct a documented quarterly vendor review — delivery, rejection rate, rate competitiveness.

  • Track material cost per unit by SKU monthly against the approved costing model.

  • Deliver documented cost-reduction initiatives each year.

Planning

  • Prepare a rolling monthly material requirement plan from sales forecast and production schedule; review weekly.

  • Set and review re-order levels, safety stock, and lead times for every material code.

  • Pre-position packaging for the summer peak, plant expansion, and the Balochistan rollout.

  • Align production plan with confirmed order book and available stock, weekly with the Production Incharge.

Supervision — Inventory

  • Direct the Inventory Incharge on counts, GRNs, FIFO, and quarantine discipline.

  • Sign off the monthly physical stock reconciliation and every variance explanation.

  • Own the returnable jar position — loss rate, ledger accuracy, and reconciliation to deposits.

Supervision — Logistics

  • Approve daily route plans and vehicle loading against the confirmed order sheet.

  • Control delivery cost per unit — fuel, maintenance, driver overtime, third-party hire.

  • Enforce delivery documentation: challans signed, jars returned and recorded, gate passes complete.

  • Review vehicle uptime, breakdowns, and route productivity weekly.

Supervision — Customer Service

  • Ensure every order is captured same day and the daily order sheet reaches Logistics before cut-off.

  • Review the Complaint Register weekly; drive closure and root cause, not just response.

  • Ensure the Customer Master File stays complete and accurate.

  • Escalate all product quality complaints to Quality and the CEO; these are never closed within this department.

Reporting

  • Weekly: material availability, open POs, stock-out risks, delivery performance, complaint status.

  • Monthly: procurement spend, rate variance, vendor scorecard, cost per unit, stock reconciliation, jar position, delivery cost per unit.

KPI | Target

| Production stoppages from material unavailability | Zero |

| Material cost per unit vs. costing model | Within ±3% |

| Documented annual procurement saving | ≥ 5% |

| Approved vendors per A-category material | ≥ 3 |

| Incoming material rejection rate | ≤ 2% |

| Vendor on-time delivery | ≥ 95% |

| POs raised before delivery | 100% |

| Monthly inventory accuracy | ≥ 98% |

| Returnable jar loss rate | Within approved ceiling |

| On-time delivery to customers | ≥ 95% |

| Delivery cost per unit | Within approved budget |

| Order capture accuracy | ≥ 98% |

| Service complaints resolved in 24 hrs | ≥ 95% |

| Reporting pack on time | 100% |

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or Engineering; Master's or professional certification an advantage.

  • Minimum 6 years in supply chain, of which 3 managing a team of at least three subordinates.

  • Beverage, food, or FMCG manufacturing experience essential; PET and packaging procurement a distinct advantage.

  • Proven ownership of procurement, warehouse, and distribution together — not procurement alone.

  • Strong Excel (pivots, lookups, cost modelling); hands-on ERP procurement, inventory, and despatch modules.

  • Familiar with food-grade specifications and PSQCA packaging requirements.

  • Valid driving licence; able to attend the plant early and travel for vendor and route audits.

Candidate Profile — the calibre required

  • Commands a room.Must be able to direct three subordinates, hold them to targets, and correct them without escalating every matter to the CEO.

  • Hard negotiator. Ask for specific savings delivered, with figures and the vendor context. Vague answers disqualify.

  • Confronts rather than accommodates. Must be willing to reject a supplier consignment, refuse an unauthorised stock issue, and pull up a driver — including where the person is longer-serving than he is.

  • Owns outcomes. Reports his own failures before they are discovered. Does not explain shortfalls by blaming subordinates or other departments.

  • Numerate under questioning. Must build and defend a landed-cost calculation unaided, in the interview, on paper.

  • Unimpeachable integrity. This role controls the largest discretionary spend and now supervises the man who counts the stock.

Cannot Do Without Approval

  • Purchase above the limit stated in the appointment letter.

  • Add a vendor to the Approved Vendor List without rate comparison and CEO countersignature.

  • Vary a contract rate, extend credit terms, or issue an advance payment.

  • Approve a stock write-off, adjustment, or scrapping above the specified value.

  • Agree a customer rate, discount, or credit term — this remains with Sales and the CEO.

  • Must declare in writing any personal or family interest in any vendor or transporter.

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
