Supply Chain Manager

Company Description

Ritual Matcha Co. imports and distributes high-quality matcha from Japan for bulk and wholesale customers. The company primarily serves foodservice businesses such as cafés, restaurants. The company also supports matcha brands through white-labeling solutions.

Role Description

The Supply Chain Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Metro Manila. This role is an opportunity to own how inventory moves through a fast-growing import business, from purchase order to fulfillment, and to build the system that keeps supply steady through a global matcha shortage.

Your role would include the following:

• Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and supplies
• Run and continuously improve our kanban system, including reorder points, reorder quantities, and the physical kanban cards on the floor
• Manage all procurement and purchasing, from purchase order to receiving
• Coordinate directly with international matcha suppliers and local packaging and supply vendors on orders, timelines, and shipments
• Plan replenishment from historical usage and forecasted demand, including withdrawals from third-party cold storage
• Coordinate imports with forwarders, brokers, and suppliers to keep compliance and documentation complete
• Track supplier performance on price, lead time, and quality, and flag supply risks to management early
• Prepare regular inventory and stock availability reports

Qualifications

• Has owned purchasing or inventory for a physical product business
• Experienced in calculating and systemizing reorder points, reorder quantities, and similar inventory decisions
• Detail-oriented and proactive in solving problems before they arise
• Effective and empathetic communicator, and comfortable dealing with overseas suppliers
• Comfortable using Shopify and Excel/Google Sheets, and willing to learn new tools as needed
• Import, customs, or FDA experience is an advantage
