Supply Chain Manager

As ZRO continues to grow, invest and evolve, we're looking for an ambitious supply chain leader to strengthen our planning, purchasing, stock control and supplier management.

Our supply chain currently relies on a combination of spreadsheets, manual controls and established workarounds rather than a fully integrated ERP and scanning system. We therefore need someone who can maintain control in today’s environment while helping us define and implement the systems, processes and automation required for future growth.

Who we’re looking for

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage the supply chain entirely from behind a screen.

We are looking for a practical, hands on manager who is comfortable working with spreadsheets, manual records and established workarounds, but who can also bring structure, discipline and better ways of working. You will need to get close to the detail, build strong relationships across the business and make sound decisions using the information available.

You might already be a Supply Chain Manager, Planning Manager, Procurement Manager or experienced supply chain professional ready to take broader ownership. A CIPS qualification would be an advantage, but substantial relevant experience and a strong track record will be equally valued.

What you’ll be responsible for

✅ Leading purchasing, planning, stock control, logistics and supplier performance

✅ Improving visibility of demand, supply, inventory and capacity

✅ Building reliable processes and controls within a manual operating environment

✅ Managing suppliers, negotiating effectively and reducing commercial and operational risk

✅ Working closely with production, sales, finance, technical and warehouse teams

✅ Going into the warehouse to issue pick lists and dispatch notices directly to the warehouse team

✅ Creating a practical improvement roadmap, including future systems and automation

What you’ll bring

• Proven supply chain, procurement, planning or materials management experience, ideally in food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast moving operational environment
• CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS, or able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience and commercial capability
• Strong spreadsheet, data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Confidence operating without sophisticated systems and the judgement to maintain control through practical processes
• A track record of improving supplier performance, stock accuracy, service levels and working capital
• Clear communication, resilience and the ability to influence across functions
• A hands-on approach, with the ambition to simplify, standardise and improve

Pay: £34,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
