Job Title: Supply Chain Officer

A Supply Chain Officer in the yogurt and dairy food industry keeps raw materials moving smoothly so fresh, high-quality yogurt reaches store shelves on time. Because yogurt is perishable and requires cold storage, this role focuses heavily on shelf-life management, temperature-controlled logistics, and precise demand forecasting.

Core Responsibilities

• Cold Chain Management: Coordinate and monitor refrigerated transportation (reefer trucks) to ensure milk, fruit preps, and finished yogurt are kept at strict temperatures (usually 2°C to 4°C) throughout transit.
• Warehouse & Inventory Strategy: Oversee refrigerated and frozen warehouse operations, strictly enforcing FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) inventory rotation to minimize product spoilage.
• Distribution Scheduling: Schedule inbound shipments of raw materials (milk deliveries, packaging) and outbound shipments of finished yogurt to distribution centers and grocery retailers.
• Carrier Performance Tracking: Evaluate and manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight carriers based on on-time delivery rates, temperature compliance, and cost.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transit and storage processes comply with food safety standards, sanitary transport rules, and local logistics regulations.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Food Science, or Business Administration
• Experience: 2+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, or warehouse management, specifically within the cold chain, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and logistics tracking tools.
• Problem Solving: Ability to quickly reroute shipments or handle logistics bottlenecks to prevent milk or yogurt batches from expiring in transit.
