Sanmina Corporation is seeking an experienced, results-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain, procurement, commodity management, materials planning, inventory control, and strategic sourcing operations at our El Paso, Texas facility.

This position is ideal for a strategic leader with extensive experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing or Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) who can optimize supplier performance, ensure material availability, control costs, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute procurement, commodity management, strategic sourcing, inventory control, materials planning, and vendor quality activities.
• Develop sourcing and procurement strategies focused on achieving the lowest total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and delivery requirements.
• Ensure material availability to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory and carrying-cost levels.
• Establish and improve material control policies, procedures, and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate regional sourcing activities with global procurement initiatives.
• Partner with Finance to evaluate inventory exposure, carrying costs, and working-capital opportunities.
• Support and improve production control systems to optimize scheduling and manufacturing throughput.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and support customer and supplier inventory audits and contractual compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across supply chain operations.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and manage a high-performing supply chain team.
• Identify training and development needs while building strong procurement and supply chain capabilities.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, executive leadership, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement leadership experience, preferably within high-volume electronics manufacturing or EMS operations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, strategic sourcing, commodity management, inventory control, materials planning, production scheduling, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong customer focus and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and modeling.
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing / EMS industry.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
• APICS/CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish (85%+ professional proficiency) is highly preferred to support cross-border operations.
