Supply Clerk

Summary: The U.S. Mission Hong Kong and Macau is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Supply Clerk.

The work schedule for this position is:

• Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (four weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties: The Supply Clerk (Expendables & Non-Expendables) serves as an assistant to the Supply Supervisor on all warehouse supply and inventory matters. The Supply Clerk expedites all service requests, office moves, and makereadies of U.S. Government (USG) quarters. This position manages the delivery, issuance, storage, auction, and disposal of property and supplies, and oversees welcome kit preparation and inventory control. The Supply Clerk works within the General Services Section under the supervision of the GSO Supply Supervisor. Incumbent is required to work in the GSO warehouse, which is not located within the Consulate office building.

Qualifications and Evaluations

EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in office environment in supply /inventory/ warehouse is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of warehousing operation and /or property management.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking, Reading and Writing in English and Cantonese are required.  (This may be tested.)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Possess of local driving license and ability to drive a light truck and a van. Computer competencies including basic skills in Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to lift a maximum of 51 lbs (23 kg) under OSHA standards.

Qualifications:  All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
