What they need

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Supply Planner – Brewing develops and maintains the brewing and blending production schedule for Two Roads brands and contract manufacturing customers. The role translates brew orders, material availability, tank capacity, and packaging requirements into executable production plans while maintaining accurate ERP production and inventory records.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role coordinates with Brewing, Supply Planner – Packaging, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, and contract customers to respond to changing production needs. The position supports raw material purchasing, inventory control, production reporting, and timely communication of schedule changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain a rolling brewing and blending schedule based on Two Roads and contract customer orders, tank availability, production capacity, raw material availability, and downstream packaging requirements.
  • Enter brewing orders in the ERP, update schedules, and promptly communicate changes caused by production deviations, equipment constraints, or supply issues.
  • Coordinate daily with Brewing and regularly with Packaging, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance to align fermentation schedules, brite tank availability, beer readiness, and packaging priorities.
  • Maintain accurate ERP records for wort, green beer, dry hops, brite beer, blending, fermenter occupancy, and production status throughout each batch lifecycle.
  • Create, update, and monitor purchase orders for brewing materials, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure availability for planned brews and blends.
  • Reconcile incoming brewing materials against purchase orders, flag discrepancies, and record goods receipts (GRPOs) in OBeer or the applicable ERP.
  • Perform physical inventory counts of brewing and blending materials, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate system balances.
  • Coordinate spent grain pickup schedules and related operational communications.
  • Partner with the Area Two brewing team to create and maintain production orders for liquid produced and packaged at that facility.
  • Participate in contract customer production calls, providing schedule updates, brewing material inventory reports, and upcoming material requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain expected separation yields and finished-volume assumptions to support packaging quantities and customer allocations.
  • Assist with master process assignment (MPN) maintenance by linking packaging splits to wort, green beer, dry hops, and separation steps in the ERP.
  • Identify scheduling risks and capacity trade-offs, escalating material constraints, delays, and customer impacts to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Planner – Packaging on beer readiness, tank timing, batch yields, and changes to brewing and packaging plans.
  • Support improvements to scheduling tools, ERP data accuracy, standard operating procedures, and planning processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Experience in manufacturing scheduling, supply planning, procurement, or inventory coordination; prior experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel and common business applications; ability to learn and maintain accurate ERP transactions.
  • Ability to evaluate production capacity, materials availability, and scheduling trade-offs.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adjust plans in a fast-changing environment.
  • Clear communication and coordination skills across production teams, suppliers, and customers.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience in brewery, beverage manufacturing, or contract production planning.
  • Experience with Orchestrated Beer (OBeer), Ignition, or ERP implementations.

Work Environment

Combination of office and brewery/warehouse environments; routine inventory counts and occasional production-floor exposure to noise, dust, heat, and weather.

Physical inventory activities may involve lifting up to 55 pounds and moving materials with appropriate equipment.

Schedule flexibility may be required to respond to changes in production or customer requirements.
