A leading global consumer-products company is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Planner to execute global inventory planning and fulfillment strategies across assigned product categories.
This role will help maximize service levels across international markets, maintain healthy inventory levels, respond to changes in demand and supply, and serve as a key steward of inventory and cost within the supply chain.
What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain global inventory plans, balancing supply-chain constraints, demand priorities, inventory levels, and service impacts.
- Manage purchase orders in line with inventory plans and adjust inventory flow for changes in demand, constraints, reworks, substitutions, or transfers.
- Partner daily with Demand Planning, Production, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, and Product Development to drive the best supply-chain outcomes.
- Participate in portfolio reviews, helping manage SKU proliferation, product lifecycles, launch dates, and ABC classifications.
- Participate in demand, forecast, and supply reviews to ensure assumptions, priorities, constraints, and opportunities are clearly understood and incorporated into inventory plans.
- Monitor service and inventory levels, including excess and obsolete inventory, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on corrective actions.
- Help resolve supply-planning issues, align on action plans with leadership, and coordinate across the planning team.
- Identify process-improvement opportunities and lead initiatives that strengthen KPIs and team efficiency.
- Manage changing priorities throughout the day while ensuring high-quality, timely completion of assigned work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- At least one year of supply-chain planning experience.
- Supply-chain certifications such as CPIM or CSCP are a plus.
- Broad understanding of supply-chain fundamentals, including demand planning, inventory planning, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
- Strong analytical ability, with the curiosity to identify patterns, exceptions, and underlying drivers.
- Advanced comfort working with datasets in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new planning and IT systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, global environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to connect bottom-up analysis to broader planning assumptions.
- Comfortable managing shifting priorities and communicating clearly when support or decisions are needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, demonstrates a growth mindset, and brings a bias for action.
- Fluency in English is required.
