Job Summary

Build the foundation for a career in complex case coordination.

Biodynamic Research Corporation (BRC) partners with attorneys nationwide to analyze complex accidents, injuries, and technical evidence. As a Support Case Coordinator, you will support case activity by coordinating scheduling, monitoring deadlines and pending items, maintaining communication with key stakeholders, documenting case activity, and helping identify issues that could affect the progress of the work.

This role is the starting point on BRC's Case Coordinator career pathway. It is designed for someone who brings relevant litigation experience, strong organization, sound judgment, follow-through, and the potential to take on increasing responsibility. Through structured training and progressively increasing responsibility, you will develop the knowledge, judgment, and proficiency needed to eventually manage an assigned consultant caseload independently. As proficiency and independence grow, opportunities exist to advance from Support Case Coordinator to Associate and ultimately Senior Case Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support complex, high volume scheduling involving consultants, clients, attorneys, internal teams, and other case related contacts, including helping resolve conflicts and communicating changes promptly.
  • Track assignments, deadlines, pending items, required documents, and follow-up across active matters to help keep case activity moving forward.
  • Coordinate information and communication among consultants, clients, attorneys, internal departments, and other case related contacts.
  • Identify missing information, scheduling conflicts, dependencies, potential delays, and other issues requiring attention, taking appropriate action or bringing them forward when needed.
  • Review source documents and case information, identify relevant details, and accurately enter and maintain key dates, requirements, and activity within BRC's Case Management System.
  • Prepare standard case documents and maintain clear, accurate, and complete documentation of case activity, follow-up, expenses, and time entries.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-moving environment while adapting to changing case needs, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, critical thinking, accountability, and readiness to take on increasing responsibility as proficiency develops.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of direct experience supporting litigation matters in a law firm or legal services environment. Experience may include work as a paralegal, legal assistant, litigation assistant, case coordinator, or another role involving substantive case support.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an environment where court dates, depositions, deadlines, scheduling changes, case documents, and follow-up require a high degree of accuracy and attention.
  • Experience with complex, high volume calendaring and scheduling involving multiple participants, frequent changes, competing priorities, and time sensitive commitments.
  • Experience using a case management system or comparable workflow tracking system to maintain information, track activity, and manage follow-up.
  • Experience reviewing source documents, identifying relevant information, and accurately recording key details, dates, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, including calendar management and the ability to learn new systems and digital workflows quickly.
  • Strong written communication, organization, accuracy, judgment, attention to detail

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • You are highly organized and can keep track of multiple assignments, deadlines, and follow-up without losing important details.
  • You notice when information is missing, something does not align, or a potential issue needs attention, and you know when to ask questions or bring it forward.
  • You are dependable about follow through and take ownership of completing what has been assigned to you.
  • You learn quickly, respond well to coaching, and can apply what you learn with increasing independence.
  • You are comfortable with technology, adapt to changing processes, and are interested in finding more effective ways to organize and complete work.

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
