Support Engineer (System)

Role Overview
Provide Level 2 technical support for system and storage infrastructure, resolving most client-reported issues within SLA. The role covers VMware, backup, Windows/Microsoft infrastructure, cloud and enterprise servers/storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support and resolve ~80% of system-related tickets.
• Handle incidents, requests and technical issues via phone, email and ticketing systems within SLA.
• Perform proactive maintenance, firmware upgrades and security patches.
• Work with vendors to troubleshoot, track and close technical support cases.
• Maintain fast response times and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering.

• 3+ years’ experience supporting system infrastructure.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • VMware, Veeam, Datto
  • Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, Hyper-V
  • Windows Server administration, DNS, DHCP & High Availability
  • Backup and troubleshooting in VMware environments

• Basic knowledge of Azure, AWS & Alibaba Cloud.

• Basic knowledge of enterprise storage and servers from Dell, Lenovo and HPE.

• Familiarity with UPS, ManageEngine and endpoint monitoring tools.

• Relevant technical certifications are an advantage.

• Networking knowledge is a plus.
