Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, managing waitlists and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables promptly to maintain cleanliness and readiness.
• Support food preparation and presentation by helping with basic kitchen tasks, including meal assembly and beverage setup.
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld by handling food properly, maintaining cleanliness, and following sanitation procedures.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, communicating clearly with kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean dining area by sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
• Provide exceptional in-person customer service by addressing guest inquiries, managing phone etiquette, and fostering guest relations to enhance their experience.

Experience

• Previous host/hostess or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
• Familiarity with restaurant operations including order taking, serving, bussing, and basic food handling techniques.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS system like Toast.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures.
• Experience with beverage preparation or catering services is a plus but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent guest relations.
