Pineview Care is a Maine-licensed home care agency. We help people live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. Our front-line team members are Support Professionals, not “caregivers.” The name reflects what the work is really about: supporting people to do as much as they can for themselves.

The Role

As a Support Professional, you provide non-medical, in-home support to older adults and people with disabilities. You follow each client’s individualized care plan and MaineCare program requirements. The goal is never to do everything forthe client. The goal is to help them keep the skills and independence that let them live well between your visits.

What You’ll Do

Personal Support

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, encouraging the client to do what they safely can
• Support safe transfers, positioning, and walking
• Prepare meals and assist with eating according to dietary needs
• Provide medication reminders, laundry, dishes, and light housekeeping as listed in the care plan

Independence & Connection

• Encourage clients to take part in daily routines and community life
• Offer companionship that reduces isolation and builds confidence
• Respect each client’s choices, culture, and home

Safety & Documentation

• Observe changes in a client’s condition, behavior, or mood and report them promptly to your supervisor
• Stay within the tasks on the care plan, and ask before taking on anything new
• Clock in and out accurately and complete visit documentation each shift
• Protect client privacy under HIPAA and Maine regulations

Professionalism

• Communicate reliably with your supervisor and scheduling team
• Complete required training, orientation, and annual continuing education

What We’re Looking For

• No PSS certificate? No problem. We provide paid Maine PSS training after hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR/First Aid preferred (we can help you get certified)
• Caregiving experience is a plus, whether paid or with family. Patience, reliability, and respect matter more than experience.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Comfortable using a smartphone app for scheduling and clocking in (we’ll help you set it up)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers
• Must pass Maine background checks required for direct-care work

• Mileage reimbursement for travel between clients
