Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our team of Support Service Professionals (SSPs). In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to a young, non-verbal woman with a rare, degenerative disorder (BPAN) and intellectual disabilities, both in her home and out in the community.

The ideal candidate is upbeat, creative, and open-minded – someone who sees possibilities rather than limitations and understands that the needs, wants, and desires of a person with disabilities are no different than anyone else’s. This role is about building connection, encouraging independence, and supporting a full and meaningful life.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as directed
• Assist with transfers (up to 50 lbs.)
• Support catheter care
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Encourage socialization and community involvement
• Support goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Ensure health, safety, and overall well-being
• Complete required service documentation
• Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age (21 preferred)
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a background check
• Physically able to perform job duties
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Experience & Training

Experience is not required. We are happy to train the right person. Preference will be given to candidates who are creative, crafty, adaptable, and able to think outside the box. With the right support, anything is possible.

Additional Information

• Flexible scheduling available between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Sunday
• Compensation will be increased upon assuming personal care responsibilities.
