Position description

We seek an enthusiastic Laboratory Aide to join our team in the Specimen Reception Area at Gateshead.

The position is 38 hours per week on a rotating roster including afternoon shifts, weekends and public holidays.

The position requires a person willing to multi-skill in numerous areas, including unpacking, coding and preparation of pathology specimens for testing, report sorting, data entry and results phoning.

Ideal candidate

The appointee must be reliable, flexible, willing to work as part of a team, work rotating shifts and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience and a sound knowledge of WH&S is advantageous. A Medical Science certificate is desirable.
