Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that support children's emotional well-being.
• Support children’s individual needs by applying knowledge of childhood development and early intervention techniques, including special education accommodations when necessary.
• Engage in child welfare practices by ensuring safety protocols are followed and maintaining compliance with mandated reporting laws.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and promote collaborative involvement in their child's growth.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, child progress reports, incident reports, and classroom activities to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care environments.
• Strong knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education programs that include literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
• Experience teaching physical education or implementing childhood development programs is preferred.
• Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively while managing a classroom environment that supports diverse learners including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Knowledge of preschool teaching standards and experience working within private or public school settings is advantageous.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
