Seeking a positive and experienced Support Team Lead with experience as a Disability Support Worker and a willingness to commit to 10 hours of permanent work per week, with some flexibility with remote hours.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face support work - This will be focused on building rapport with the client, supporting the client with autism, non-verbal and behaviours.
• Handle rostering, recruiting, and training staff.
• Attending meetings with the client, parents, and the Hireup manager.
• Any admin duties relating to the clients' support.

Experience required:

• Disability Sector knowledge – experience working with clients living with a disability; supporting a client who is non-verbal and autistic.

• Recruitment, management, or leadership experience

• Experience implementing & recognising restrictive practices

• Experience working with behaviors of concern & personal care

• Communicating with Allied Health & Stakeholders

• Community access/school pick up & transport

Current Shift Availability:

• Must be available for the following face-to-face shift:

  • Wednesday afternoons (from 2:30pm for school pick up)
  • Remaining hours will be admin duties
  • Possibility for extra hours as support worker with the client

Mandatory Requirements:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Full First Aid
• Right to work within Australia
• Working with children check
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
• Reliable car and a full Australian Driver's License
