Support Worker (1-2-1 Support)

Here at The Meath Epilepsy Charity, we are looking to bring on an enthusiastic, proactive, and creative individual to primarily be a 1-1 Support Worker for one of our male residents.

A clean and valid driving license and experience working with people with Epilepsy is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shadow and work alongside an experienced 1-1 Support Worker whilst you get to know the resident and role.

The Person:

To find the most suitable person for our resident, we need someone who is;

• Energetic, enthusiastic and encouraging

• Patient with strong communication skills

• Enjoys organising and going on outings

• Is able to assist with and promote independence

Key Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Assisting with day-to-day life and building independent living skills.

• Supporting the resident to meet new people and make friends.

• Planning and accompanying outings and day trips such as going for long walks or going to local coffee shops.

• Assisting your colleagues in supporting the other residents in your service when required.

The Meath do not sponsor overseas candidates - you must live and be eligible to work in the UK
