Support Worker

About the role

Support Workers provide guidance, support and assistance to people living in residential services. You will work on a single-staffed rostered shift, which includes afternoon, morning, weekend and sleepover shifts. The role involves supporting people to live as independently as possible, make their own choices, participate in their community and enjoy a meaningful life. The position reports to the Team Leader and Manager.

   • Meal planning and preparation
   • Transport and appointments
   • Banking and managing everyday activities
   • Community participation and inclusion
   • Social and recreational activities
   • Developing independence and life skills
   • Emotional wellbeing
   • Following individual care and support plans

   • Comfortable using a computer and has basic computer literacy
   • Has good communication skills
