Duties

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary, promoting healthy eating habits.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living spaces, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and foster a positive atmosphere.
• Help with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety for both the caregiver and the individual.
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with organizational policies and report any changes in health or behavior promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly desirable.
• Strong background in patient care, senior care, dementia care, or hospice care enhances your ability to provide specialized support.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring intensive caregiving is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards is essential.
• Excellent communication skills combined with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Basic housekeeping skills including cleaning and meal preparation to support overall well-being.

Pay: $20.00-$29.19 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 10.0 per week

Work Location: In person
