Support Worker

Job Purpose
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals living in supported accommodation and in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and practical support in line with individual care and support plans.
• Support individuals with daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, budgeting, shopping, and household tasks.
• Encourage independence and support access to education, employment, healthcare, and community services.
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or changes in an individual's wellbeing.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and medication procedures.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.

Essential Requirements

• Caring, compassionate, and reliable approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Desirable

• Previous experience in supported accommodation, domiciliary care, or health and social care.
• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (where required).

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
