Support Worker

Job Title: Support Worker – SEND

Reports to: Service Manager

Location: Magic Care Moments Ltd, Stratford, London

Hours: Weekdays, weekends, outreach, extended hours

Purpose of the role

To provide high quality support to children and young adults with SEND, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and personal development across day centre, outreach, and short break services.

Key Duties

• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Support behaviour management using agreed strategies
• Deliver structured activities and life skills sessions
• Support communication using visual aids, PECS, or simple language
• Provide community access (parks, shops, leisure centres)
• Complete daily notes, incident forms, and progress updates
• Work weekends and extended hours when required
• Maintain safeguarding and confidentiality at all times

Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting SEND children or young adults
• Understanding of autism, ADHD, learning disabilities
• Ability to stay calm and patient
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and complete training
• Enhanced DBS required
