About Us

Talentra Recruitment is a trusted care agency supplying compassionate, reliable support workers to supported living services UK-wide. We're currently looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our growing team in Leicester and help individuals live independently in their own homes and communities.

The Role

As a Support Worker in Supported Living, you'll support individuals — including those with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or physical disabilities — to live as independently as possible in their own homes or shared supported accommodation. You'll work as part of a team, following each person's individual support plan.

Your day-to-day duties may include:

  • Supporting individuals with personal care where required
  • Promoting independence with daily living skills (cooking, budgeting, household tasks)
  • Supporting individuals to access the community, activities, education, or work
  • Administering or prompting medication
  • Supporting positive behaviour and de-escalating situations where needed
  • Assisting individuals to attend appointments and manage their health needs
  • Building positive, respectful relationships that promote choice and independence
  • Accurately recording support provided in daily notes and support plans

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in supported living, learning disabilities, autism, or mental health support is required. As an agency, we're unable to provide the full induction training a direct employer would offer, so we ask that applicants have already completed a recognised induction to care (e.g. Care Certificate, NVQ/QCF Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent) before joining us.
  • Experience of positive behaviour support or de-escalation techniques is an advantage
  • A patient, respectful, and person-centred approach
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Flexibility to cover a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, not always essential)
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check (we can help guide you through this process)
  • Right to work in the UK (proof will be required at application stage)

What We Offer

  • Competitive, weekly pay inclusive of rolled-up holiday pay
  • Flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle
  • Full induction and paid training (including moving & handling, medication, safeguarding, positive behaviour support)
  • Ongoing career development and access to further qualifications (e.g. NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care)
  • Mileage contribution
  • Dedicated support from our friendly office team
  • Opportunity for temp-to-perm placements with our clients

How to Apply

If you're passionate about promoting independence and want a rewarding career supporting others, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now with your CV for more information.

We want our recruitment process to be accessible to everyone. If you need any adjustments or support at any stage of your application, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

Talentra Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
