Support Worker – Durham, Sunderland & North East

Guroe Care Ltd is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to join our growing team across Durham, Sunderland and surrounding North East locations.

We have regular and flexible shift opportunities available for reliable, compassionate and experienced care professionals.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, promoting their dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing person-centred care and support
• Supporting service users with daily living activities
• Following individual care plans and support plans
• Supporting with personal care where required
• Promoting dignity, respect and independence
• Maintaining accurate care records
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and infection-control procedures
• Working effectively with care-home staff and other healthcare professionals

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous UK experience as a Support Worker / Care Worker / Healthcare Assistant
• A valid Enhanced DBS
• Up-to-date mandatory training certificates
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, professional and reliable approach
• The right to work in the UK
• Flexibility to work available shifts
• Ability to travel to assigned care locations

North East England and surrounding areas

We are particularly interested in candidates who are already based locally and can reliably travel to care-home locations.
