Support Worker

Hey there

I'm Cara

Apparently, I need more Support Workers

At least that's what my boss keeps telling me, so here I am writing this in the hope that it lands in front of exactly the right person..

Now, before you scroll past because you've never worked as a Support Worker before, keep reading.

Yes, experience is great. But honestly? Some of the best people in this industry started with something even more important: kindness, reliability, and a genuine willingness to help others.

At Mells Care, we support people with everyday living, personal care, community access, and achieving their goals. Some days you'll be helping someone get to an appointment. Other days you'll be supporting them to build confidence, independence, or simply have a better day than yesterday.

Some days will feel fun. Some days will feel hard. No two shifts are exactly the same, which is part of what makes this work so rewarding.

So, who am I hoping reads this?

Someone who:

• Shows up when they say they will
• Treats people with respect
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills
• Has First Aid and CPR (or is happy to get them)
• Has a Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Card, or is willing to get them
• Has a driver's licence, a reliable vehicle, and insurance
• Doesn't mind being part of a team that genuinely cares

And what's in this for you?

• Casual pay of $45.28 per hour (including casual loading)
• Flexible shifts
• Training and ongoing support
• Immediate start
• A workplace where your contribution is noticed and appreciated
• I will even throw in some PPE for you!

This is an Expression of Interest, which is a fancy way of saying we're looking for good people and we'd love to have a chat. If you've read this far and found yourself nodding along, that's probably a pretty good sign.. so hit apply and let's talk.

And, if you've made it this far, you may as well apply... just sayin!

Thanks for the chat,

Cara from Mells Care (also the person trying to get Support Workers because our boss said we need you!)
