Duties

• Offer one-on-one and group support to children, encouraging their participation in daily activities and learning experiences
• Assist with personal care needs, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort at all times

• Mentor young individuals by providing guidance, encouragement, and role modeling
• Collaborate with team members to plan and implement tailored support plans that meet each child's unique needs
• Promote a safe, inclusive environment by monitoring activities and addressing any concerns promptly
• Contribute to the development of educational and recreational programs that foster growth and independence

Skills

• Experience working with adult care/support setting is highly desirable
• Strong mentoring abilities with a passion for helping others reach their potential
• Effective teaching skills to facilitate learning and skill development in young people
• Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with families, and team members
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude to handle diverse situations with professionalism
• Ability to follow care plans accurately while demonstrating flexibility when needed
