Support Worker

Personal Support Worker - Part-Time I am a gentleman in my 60’s who suffered a brain injury over 20 years ago and I now have a small team of people who support me. I’m looking for someone who can provide practical support at home as well as accompany me when I’m out in the community. The role is varied and is as much about companionship and enjoying everyday activities together as it is about practical support. Day-to-day duties include: Helping me in the mornings to get ready and have breakfast. Helping me feed my two cats and clean and change their litter. Supporting me to get out and about in the community. Coming with me to do my food shopping. Going out for lunch and other activities. Preparing and cooking meals together. Providing general support and companionship throughout the day. You don't necessarily need previous experience as a Support Worker as the most important things to me are that you are patient, kind, reliable and easy to get along with. You should be comfortable working independently but also as part of my small support team. It would be great if you enjoy conversation, getting out and about and helping me make the most of my day. You will also need to be comfortable around cats! Approximately 16 hours per week, Thursday and Saturday plus holiday cover. A full clean driving licence is essential, as you will need to drive my car.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
