Duties

• Offer one-on-one support to children and young people, encouraging their social, emotional, and educational growth
• Assist with daily activities such as learning routines, recreational activities, and personal care needs
• Implement tailored plans to promote independence and confidence in each individual
• Mentor children by providing guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling
• Support educational activities by helping with homework, teaching new skills, and fostering curiosity
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure consistent care and effective communication
• Maintain accurate records of support provided, progress updates, and any incidents or concerns

Experience

• Previous experience working with children or young people in a supportive or educational setting is preferred
• Demonstrated mentoring skills that inspire trust and motivate others
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in supporting diverse needs
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
• Ability to adapt approaches based on individual needs and circumstances
• Passion for teaching and empowering others through positive reinforcement and patience
