Responsibilities

• Assist children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times

• Engage in mentoring activities that promote confidence, independence, and social skills
• Collaborate with team members, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support
• Facilitate educational and recreational activities that stimulate learning and personal growth
• Maintain accurate records of support provided, incidents, and progress updates

Skills

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or care settings
• Strong mentoring abilities with a genuine passion for supporting others’ development
• Teaching skills that enable effective communication of concepts and encouragement of learning
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
