Support Worker

Priory Project Ltd is a small residential home based in Milford Haven. We are a charity providing care and support for adults with learning disabilities within a warm, person-centred home environment.

We are currently looking to recruit a caring, reliable and motivated Full Time Support Worker to join our team on day shifts.

As a Support Worker, no two days are the same. The role is varied, rewarding and offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to people’s lives every day.

About the Role

You will support individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives, whilst promoting dignity, choice, privacy and wellbeing at all times.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals with daily living activities in a person-centred way
• Promoting independence, choice and social inclusion
• Supporting people to access community activities, appointments and outings
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Supporting with medication administration, monitoring and recording
• Supporting individuals with life skills such as shopping, budgeting and travel
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cooking and cleaning
• Building positive and professional relationships with the people we support

Shift Pattern

This is a full time, days only position worked across a 4-week rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays as required by the needs of the service.

Additional Information

• A qualification in Health and Social Care would be an advantage but is not essential.
• A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be carried out on all offers of employment.
• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential for this position, as the role involves transporting and supporting residents to attend appointments, activities and community outings.
