We are seeking a committed Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a 14-year-old young person both at home and in the community. This is a rewarding opportunity to help build confidence, promote independence and support participation in activities and daily routines.
The young person suffered a brain injury at birth, has Autism and experiences severe OCD and ritualistic behaviours, which can sometimes lead to heightened anxiety, stress and frustration. As such, applicants with experience of, or a good understanding of, Autism and/or OCD and related behaviours are particularly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 support at home and in the community
- Encouraging independence and social engagement

School Holidays
- Flexible daytime shifts, typically around 6 hours per day
Weekend Working

- Week 1: Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday
Please note that not every weekday requires cover. The final schedule will be agreed with the successful candidate and may include a combination of weekday and weekend shifts (for example, 3-4 weekdays plus 1 weekend day).
There is also potential for additional hours in the future as the support package develops.
