Support Worker

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and caring support worker to assist Austin on weekends, with shifts available Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. (To help cover shifts)

Austin has cerebral palsy and requires support with his morning routine, including:

• Helping him get dressed and ready for the day.
• Preparing and assisting with breakfast.
• Supporting him with showering and personal care.
• Assisting with his prescribed exercises using his standing frame.
• Providing companionship and enjoying some video games together.

The ideal person will:

• Have a great sense of humour and enjoy a bit of banter.
• Be patient, positive, respectful and easygoing.
• Be comfortable with personal care and physical support.
• Be able to take Austin’s jokes and cheeky remarks in good humour, without taking them personally.
• Be reliable and genuinely interested in helping Austin enjoy his mornings and maintain his independence.

Pay: $26.44 – $52.83 per hour
