Shift Locations: Lyndhurst and Surrounding Areas

Shift Times:      
We are primarily seeking a Support Worker who is available to work on Tuesdays and/or Wednsdays to support a client with an inactive sleepover.

The sleepover shift commences at 11:00pm and finishes at 7:00am.

At this stage, the client is well supported during the day. However, additional daytime shifts may become available to the successful candidate in the future.

We also have a range of clients across Melbourne’s Eastern and South Eastern suburbs who require support. If you’re looking for meaningful work and would like to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.

Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker with Morcare, you will assist clients with the following tasks:

• Community Access - assisting clients out in the community such as Shopping assistance, going to the Cafe, Gym Programs, Hydrotherapy and day programs
• Domestic duties - maintaining household cleanliness, vacuuming, mopping and laundry.
• Personal care activities including showering, dressing and toileting
• Supporting clients within their own homes and out in the community
• Meal assistance and preparation.

**Qualifications:**A Certificate III (or above) in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or similar is preferred but not required. We consider transferable skills and personal experience as part of your application.

Your Requirements:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance(or willingness to obtain)
• Current and valid Level 2 First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR  (HLTAID009) certificates
• Qualification such as a Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care or equivalent industry related experience (preferred but not required)
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• A smartphone compatible to download our rostering app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Your own vehicle and full comprehensive car insurance
• International Police Check Certificate (or willingness to obtain) if you have lived overseas for more than 12 months within the last 10 years
• Proof of work entitlement (if applicable)
• Provide at least two professional employment references
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Reliable and Punctual
• Caring nature and ability to understand clients and their needs
