Support Worker - Oamaru

• Permenant role based in Oamaru, 65+ hours per fortnight
• Varied rosters including AM, PM, sleepover and weekend shifts
• $24.68 - $30.13 per hour based on relevant qualifications

Mō te tūnga | About the role

As a Support Worker, you will empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to lead fulfilling lives at home and within their community. This role is deeply meaningful, allowing you to be creative and make each day engaging and significant for those you support. You’ll support people with daily routines, independence, health and wellbeing, interests and goals, while helping them stay connected with their whānau and community.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

• A compassionate, people-first approach – you genuinely care about the wellbeing, dignity and individuality of the people you support.
• Relevant experience – previous experience in health, disability, community or support services, working with people with diverse needs.
• Flexibility and availability – comfortable working a varied roster including morning, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts.
• Strong communication skills – confident communicating clearly and respectfully with the people you support, whānau and colleagues.
• Physical fitness – able to provide hands-on support and assist with physical tasks when required.
• A full NZ drivers licence – with no supervisor conditions.
