What they need
What is a home, on a Monday morning? It's the front door opening to world of bowling, boccia and feeding animals at Lainey's farm. Tuesdays? Well that's a visit to the swimming pool. We could go on and on...
We're a multi award-winning supported living service in Coxheath and Loose, near Maidstone. Four adults with learning disabilities and autism live here. It's their home. And inside you'll find safety, security, connection and bundles of joy; and a team that starts every day with the same question: "What would you like to do today?" And the fun is supporting them make it happen.
The facts
- £12.85 per hour + paid holiday, pension and free parking
- 7.30am–7.30pm or 8.30am-8.30pm. Permanent
- Full driving licence essential
- Experience supporting autistic people essential
What you'll do and why it matters
- Bowling, the weekly boccia game at the gym, mornings at the farm. The outings aren't a treat bolted onto care. They are the support delivered with love, care and emapthy.
- Build genuine relationships. We see our service users as people, not care plans. Connection is what turns support into trust.
- Support independence. Every skill practised and every small win celebrated is someone's life getting bigger.
- Personal care, always with dignity. It's where trust is earned.
- Medication support. You'll be fully trained before you're ever asked to do it alone.
- Cook and share meals, keep the house running, keep notes up to date.
Why people stay (and they do stay)
Our staff turnover is minimal. In a sector famous for churn, our team stays, don't take our word for it, come in and ask them. The kettle will be on.
You'll get paid training, your Care Certificate within 12 weeks, and support towards NVQ qualifications if you'd like them. And you'll join a team that lives by a simple promise: we leave people, and things, better than we found them.
Applying is easy, deliberately so.
We believe in building relationships so let's start with a friendly chat over the phone. Nothing formal, just finding out a little bit more about us. And then pop in for a chat: see their homes, meet the team, decide if it feels right. Most people know within ten minutes.
So let us know when you are free to chat and we'll give you a call.
You'll need the right to live and work in the UK, a full driving licence and experience of supporting autistic individuals. All offers are subject to an Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.
