Support Worker *UK ONLY*

Responsibilities for Support Worker (16-25 year olds)

• Providing emotional support to individuals
• Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication
• Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests.
• Supporting the learning of new skills or gaining employment.
• Teaching life skills, such as budgeting and paying bills.
• Supporting and prompting with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, writing a shopping list, going shopping or maintaining their housing tenancy.
• Helping them to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
• Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language.
• Working with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support.
• Analysing an individual’s needs and drawing up a focused support plan.

We are looking for 2 candidates with the following requirements:

• 2 support workers full time and part time in Isle of Wight, Shanklin (MUST have UK experience in care and support with Children)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 37.5 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Shanklin South PO37 6EU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• working with children: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
