Female Support Worker – Part-Time

Location: Lincoln
Hours: 6 hours per week, with additional hours available
Driving licence and access to a car essential

We are looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic female Support Worker to support a young lady with learning disabilities and autism to enjoy social activities and build confidence in the community.

The role would suit someone who is patient, friendly, caring and dependable, with an understanding of autism and learning disabilities, or a genuine willingness to learn.

The role

The support will be for approximately 6 hours per week, split as follows:

• Friday evening: 5:00pm–8:00pm – supporting her to attend a local club/social activity.
• Weekend: 3 hours on either Saturday or Sunday, preferably in the morning, for activities and community access.

The exact weekend activities can be discussed and will be based around her interests and needs.

Additional hours are available supporting other clients within the service, providing an opportunity for the right candidate to increase their hours if desired.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a female Support Worker
• Is patient, caring and approachable
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys supporting young people
• Has experience of, or an understanding of, autism and learning disabilities
• Is reliable and able to commit to the agreed hours
• Is confident supporting someone in the community
• Has a full UK driving licence and access to a reliable car/ mobility care is available
• Is willing to undertake any required checks and training

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can provide consistent, encouraging and respectful support, helping her to have fun, enjoy activities and develop her independence.
