About The Role Could you help a young person take their next step into independence?

Supported Lodgings Hosts offer a safe and supportive home to young people aged 16–24 who are not yet ready to live on their own. By offering a spare room and guidance, you can help them develop the confidence and life skills they need to thrive.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a safe, supportive home environment
• Acting as a positive role model and mentor
• Supporting young people to develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting and managing a home
• Encouraging engagement in education, training or employment
• Helping build confidence, independence and resilience
• Working alongside the Supported Lodgings team and other professionals

About You

• Genuine desire to support young people
• Patient, approachable and a good listener
• Able to provide a stable and supportive environment
• Have a spare bedroom
• Willing to undertake training and assessment
• From any background – there is no typical Host

What we can offer you

• Weekly financial payments (typically £260-£500 depending on needs)
• Comprehensive training and ongoing development
• Dedicated Social Worker assigned to you
• Out of hours support from an experienced Supported Lodgings team
• Flexibility to continue working alongside hosting
