Supporting Community Development Worker

Location: Birmingham/Hybrid

Salary : £24,519 per annum, pro-rata £13,916

Hours: 21 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2027

This role is for 21 hours per week and will be responsible for the following duties:

• To Identify groups and organisations that improve the quality of life for Yardley neighbourhood. These are called assets and could be places, people, and services.
• To support the team in updating a monthly asset register for Yardley area.
• Build links and relationships with citizens, social workers, GPs and other practitioners.
• To be a point of contact for the Neighbourhood Network Scheme providing advice, guidance and signposting.
• To identify gaps and issues being raised by the local community and professionals.

Some of the key skills and experience required for this role are:

• · Experience of working with community organisations.
• · Experience of working with disabled people and or people over the age of 50.
• · Ability to network and represent DRC at events.
• · Knowledge of Yardley constituency.
