Mō te tūranga | About the role
We're looking for a full-time permanent Surfacing Labourer to join our Queenstown or Cromwell team. This is hands-on, outdoors work where you'll help deliver good work that keeps communities moving. You'll be part of a crew that backs each other, works side by side, and takes pride in getting the job done right.

This role will see you supporting surfacing operations across a range of projects, with the chance to build your skills, work with experienced people, and be part of a team that is friendly, low ego, and serious when it counts. If you like practical work, being part of a solid crew, and earning more through overtime, this could be your place.
Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Support surfacing crews with chipseal works across Queenstown and surrounding areas.
• Help with site set up, traffic management support, equipment handling, and general labouring duties.
• Work safely and follow site procedures, especially when working around live traffic and active work zones.
• Pitch in wherever needed to keep jobs moving and deliver a high standard of work.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional night or weekend work when required.

• Experience in civil construction, surfacing, labouring, or other hands-on outdoor work is a bonus.
• A strong work ethic, reliable attitude, and willingness to learn from an experienced crew.
• A commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job properly every time.
• Comfortable carrying out the inherent requirements of the role and working in varying weather conditions.
• Full Class 1 licence preferred, with WTR, Class 2, or traffic management experience viewed favourably.
