Orthopedic Surgical Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgical Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience coordinating orthopedic surgical cases, particularly New Jersey personal injury matters and New Jersey PIP claims, and possesses a deep understanding of insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orthopedic surgical cases from scheduling through completion.
• Manage personal injury cases involving New Jersey PIP insurance.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance carriers, patients, physicians, surgical facilities, and other stakeholders.
• Verify insurance benefits, coverage, authorizations, eligibility, and claim information.
• Obtain and track surgical authorizations and required documentation.
• Monitor cases, deadlines, appointments, medical records, and follow-ups.
• Work closely with billing and clinical teams to resolve insurance and case-related issues.
• Maintain accurate, organized case files and documentation.
• Identify and address insurance issues proactively to prevent delays in patient care.
• Provide clear and professional communication with patients, attorneys, and insurance representatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Surgical Coordinator, preferably in orthopedics.
• Strong experience handling New Jersey personal injury cases and NJ PIP claims is required.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance verification, benefits, authorizations, claims, and PIP processes.
• Insurance expertise is essential.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and administrative staff.
• Experience working with attorneys and personal injury law firms is highly preferred.

The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of cases and ensuring that every step of the surgical coordination process is handled accurately and efficiently.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
