Surgery Scheduler

Orthopedic surgery practice has a full time opportunity available for an experienced Surgery Scheduler. Our office is looking for a team player and excellent communicator. We need someone who works well under pressure, is a fast learner and who can adapt to our systems quickly & seamlessly. Must have SUPERB customer service skills and be someone who does not get their feathers easily ruffled.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years' experience in surgery scheduling and at least 3-5 years front office administrative experience. The Surgery Scheduler will schedule approximately 8-10 surgeries a week, understand the authorization process, and have familiarity with Workers ' Compensation scheduling and RFAs. The Surgery Scheduler must understand how to obtain medical clearance and imaging studies for procedures, have computer skills and the ability to cross cover reception with scheduling, answering phones and supervision of front office staff. EHR experience a plus.
Bilingual Spanish/English or bilingual in any other languages a plus. This is a very fast paced environment with many patients. Excellent communication skills with patients, physicians and co-workers are crucial. Requires excellent computer skills and organization.
