Surgery Scheduler

What to expect on a typical day:

• Kindly greet patients on the phone and in-person, ensuring they have outstanding experience at our practice.
• Schedule surgical procedures, in-office procedures, and tests as well as outpatient tests.
• Responsible for obtaining precertification and verifying insurance benefits.
• Communicate with outside facilities regarding schedules.
• Communicate with patients via phone and portal messages.
• Collaborate with physicians and assist other staff members.
• Perform additional administrative duties for the office as needed.
• Work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Qualifications:

• Thoroughness and accuracy required.
• Excellent customer service and people skills that allow effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, and vendors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, billing, and benefits preferred.
• Strong computer skills.
