Surgical Scheduler

We are looking for a motivated, full-time surgical scheduler to join our growing ophthalmology office. This position will be responsible for scheduling surgeries for three full-time surgeons within the office.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Acquiring consents and answering most/ all logistical questions

-Communicating orders and patient list to surgery center(s)

-Sending patient referrals to collaborating physicians

• Assisting in obtaining prior authorizations for surgical procedures

-Managing a cancel/call back list, and maintaining communication with surgical patients regarding any post op care/referrals to other practices

-Ordering any special testing required

Experience:

• surgical scheduling: 1 year (Preferred)
